Margaret Remlinger is the founder and principal of Remlinger Financial Group and has over twenty-years experience in the financial services industry. The cornerstone of her firm’s philosophy is that clients come first, a viewpoint she learned when she began working in her father’s firm. She understands that talking about financial matters is difficult for many people, so from the first meeting clients see a relationship being formed that is built on mutual respect, trust and integrity.
Margaret helps clients assess their current financial situation realistically, define their goals for the future in the context of their personal values, and then develops a comprehensive strategy to help clients meet those goals. She makes sure her clients understand every piece of their financial plan before implementing any steps. While she focuses on all aspects of comprehensive planning: savings and investment plans, insurance planning, and estate planning, she specializes in retirement distribution planning.
She developed her financial planning background with a family insurance agency for five years before broadening her products to include investment vehicles. She was recruited by a national brokerage firm as a junior investment representative and, after reaching the level of Senior Investment Advisor, she left to start Remlinger Financial Services. As an independent advisor, she is not obligated to any specific financial product or tools; she is able to draw from a wide range of financial resources and choose what is in her clients’ best interests.
Margaret has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. She holds the Chartered Life Underwriter designation and is currently enrolled in the American College for Charter Financial Planner. She is licensed for Life & Health Insurance, and holds her investment licenses for series 6, 7, 63, and 65 which allows for fee based financial planning. She is a member of the National Association for Insurance and Financial Planners and the National Association for the Self Employed.
Margaret frequently appeared on First Business, a nationally syndicated business talk show, during the time it was broadcast in Chicago. Margaret’s husband, Jeff, who is also her business partner, has an active role in the Plainfield Rotary and its community activities.
Margaret and Jeff have four children. They are active participants in their church and parochial school. When not working, the kids’ sports keep her and Jeff very busy, but when she is not at a game, she loves cooking and music.
